Cyr Leads Lady Owls at EISA Championships
**UPDATED: DAY 2 RESULTS**
On the 2nd day of races in Vermont the women took part in the "15K Classic" event at the Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont. Skiers had to battle a bevy of elements from the eight inches of snow that had fallen overnight, to the three that fell throughout the event, and a howling wind, that all came together to create nearly zero visibility for participants.
Kati Christoffel (Jr./Clifton Park, NY) was the first Owl to cross the finish line in 1:16:09.1. That was good enough for 48th place. Justine Cyr was only a couple of minutes behind, completing the course in 1:18:07.4 (54th place), her best classic time of the season.
STOWE, VT -- University of Maine-Presque Isle veteran Justine Cyr (Sr./Fort Kent, ME) led the Owls' women's nordic ski team with a 45th place finish at the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships this weekend.
The Nordic races were held at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT, a venue that has served as home to the EISA for three weekends of racing during this low snow winter.
The Owls' Molly Lindsey (Fr./Winthrop, ME) continued her return from injury with a 68th place finish.
UMPI's results were good enough for 10th place on the women's side in the season-ending event for the team.
