2016 will make Trevor Parent’s fifth season at the helm of the women’s soccer program for his Alma Mater, the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

 Since Parent took over the program in the spring of 2012 there have been 23 USCAA Academic All-Americans, one USCAA First Team All-American, one AD3I Conference Player of the Year, six GSAC Academic All-Conference selections, one USCAA Third Team All-American selection, five GSAC First Team All-Conference selections, four AD3I All-Independent Team selections, and one NCAA Division III Statistical Scoring Champion.

 Coach Parent has received his Advanced Regional Diploma and his National Diploma through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). At the age of 26, the NSCAA recognized Trevor with the distinction of a "Distinguished Pass" upon his completion of the National Diploma.

Trevor has participated as a coach in the Super Y League Regional Scouting Series, at The Soccer Camp at Colby College, and for Dutch Soccer Academy overnight camps located directly on the campus of the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

 He has received coaching credentials through the Football Association (FA), the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the National Academy of Speed and Explosion (NASE), US Lacrosse, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

 Before taking over the women’s program, Trevor worked under Alan Gordon as an assistant to the men’s side for three seasons. The men’s team made appearances in two separate NAIA Sunrise Conference semi-final matches during that time.

 As a head coach in 2011, Coach Parent led Dynamite F.C. to a New England U-23 Men’s Soccer Championship. Trevor also led Dynamite F.C. to a U-19 Northeast Regional Futsal Tournament appearance. (Futsal is an official form of indoor soccer). Dynamite F.C. was presented with the “Fair Play Award” for the 2010 Men’s U-19 Tournament.

 Parent had a quality soccer playing career. While in high school, he played for the Maine U-16, U-17, and U-18 Olympic Development Program (ODP) teams. As a junior in high school, he was identified and invited to represent the United States in an international tournament in Germany. Once in college and playing under Coach Gordon, the center back received numerous awards including: MVP, Coaches Award, Stanley Small Award (UMPI Athletics’ Department), and All- Tournament and All-Conference Selections.

 Trevor resides in Presque Isle with his wife Julie and their daughter Emily.

Chelsea Lynds-Beaulieu (aka L.B.) is starting her coaching career as a first year coach to the soccer program at UMPI. L.B. left a profoundly positive mark on the team during her time at UMPI as a student-athlete. She was a three time USCAA Academic All-American, two time soccer captain, an influential leader within student activities during her time here on campus, and a key member of the 2014 squad team which went to the semi-finals of the GSAC championships held in North Carolina – she was recognized as 2014 Most Inspirational Player of the Year by her teammates and coaches. Chelsea graduated from UMPI in 2015 with a degree in business. She currently is employed by the city of Presque Isle.

Position: Assistant Coach

Jennifer Ouellette enters her third season as a coach for the women's soccer program.  A former standout student-athlete, Jen was the MVP of the 2013 season.  During her playing time she served as a captain displaying remarkable leadership skills both on and off the field.  She also garnered All-Conference First Team recognition in the Great Southern Atlantic Conference in 2013.  Jen  played softball for two years and is a 2014 UMPI Grad with a Business Degree. Coach currently works for NorState Federal Credit Union in Presque Isle.  

Nicole Cyr

Year: 1st Season

Nicole Cyr is back with the soccer program. She has decided she would like to get into coaching at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Nicole was a top class student athlete during her time here at UMPI. She was a captain, 2015 soccer team MVP, two time USCAA Academic All-American selection, USCAA All-American nominee, and a GSAC all-conference selection. Nicole works in Caribou as a highly sought after licensed physical therapist assistant.
